Australia is the driest continent on earth.
Yet we invest tiny dollars in water even though we are aware that Australia has the potential to become the food bowl of the world.
Unaccountably, we are willing to risk only miserable dollars in this enormous trading opportunity.
I note with considerable interest that the creation of a food bowl in Northern Australia is now very much on the political and business agenda, particularly as there are persistent reports of interest from Chinese corporations in exploring the prospects of investment in our agricultural industries.
